The Computer Recycling Society provides a professional decommissioning service. We have successfully carried out the decommissioning of technical assets (computer/electronic equipment) for many government and corporate clients, educational institutions and local authorities. Computer/electronic equipment is refurbished for re-use by charitable organizations or processed by a Qualified Electronic Recycler as raw material. Nothing goes to landfill. References can be provided upon request. We can accept the following equipment for re-use:
CRS is currently able to make use of any Pentium II or above machines and any related peripheral equipment. Primarily we require keyboards, mice, modems, cables and memory. Also USB devices, IDE hard drives greater than 2GB, CDROM or DVDROM drives or writers, or multi-media cards are beneficial. Laptops of Pentium II or above can also be put to good use.
15" or 17" RGB color monitors are the most common sizes we use with refurbished computers. We also accept all other types and sizes of monitors for re-use or recycling.
We tend to receive mostly older non-working printers, which we will kindly direct to materials recycling. Some newer model, working printers can be re-used.
We accept donations at each of our locations. Click here for Location Info.
For donations of 10 computers or more, we can provide trucks and crew for a minimal fee. If you are a corporate client we can provide the necessary disposal containers for larger donations.
Call the location phone number for your area to arrange larger pickups. *Please call ahead if you have multiple units.*
A charitable tax receipt for the value of some donated equipment may be available.
We do accept donations of any type of computer equipment. Non-working or non-usable equipment will be recycled as raw material by: TechnoTrash Recycling www.technotrashrecycling.com
