We have the resources to deal with all retired, obsolete and
non-working computers and electronic equipment, working or not. The
responsibility for complete Zero Waste recycling is fulfilled by our
affiliate TechnoTrash Recycling.

Among
North America's premier Qualified Electronic Recyclers, TechnoTrash
provides cost effective and environmentally responsible recycling
options for businesses, manufacturers and retailers, as well as
Municipal, Provincial and Federal Governments. |
| Our
main project focus is our work with the "Smile Africa Foundation" to
provide computer labs to schools throughout Africa. Smile Africa
International is a non-profit organization that helps children and
youth realize their potential to improve their place in society. With
the central goal of advancing literacy, SMILE AFRICA seeks to give
learners the means to both increase their knowledge base and make the
marketplace -- social, economic and political life -- more accessible
to those with weak literacy skills. |

Zero
Waste is a philosophy and a design principle for the 21st Century. It
includes 'recycling' but goes beyond recycling by taking a 'whole
system' approach to the vast flow of resources and waste through human
society. Zero Waste maximizes recycling, minimizes waste, reduces
consumption and ensures that products are made to be reused, repaired
or recycled back into nature or the marketplace. |
| Turtle
Island Earth Stewards (TIES) is a non-profit organization that works
with communities, landowners and children to help deepen their
connection with nature and to learn to become better stewards of the
earth. TIES has been working with communities for over 25 years with
its main office in Salmon Arm and had field offices in Salmo, the
Robson Valley and Christina Lake in 2001. |

Waste
Reduction Week in Canada is organized by a coalition of non-government,
not for profit environment groups from each of the thirteen
participating provincial and territorial jurisdictions from across
Canada. Since 2001, Waste Reduction Week in Canada has aimed to inform and engage Canadians through the theme Too Good to Waste. Let's do our part to carry on the tradition and safeguard the
environment by not only registering on-line now, but by making every
week Waste Reduction Week! |
